Motorcycle Shows Look Set for a More Successful Year in 2021
It is fair to say that 2020 was somewhat disastrous for motorcycle shows (and just about everything else) as a result of the coronavirus pandemic and subsequent lockdowns. While the pandemic is not yet over, there is a lot to be positive about in 2021 and there are a handful of motorcycle events given the green light to go ahead which any motorcycle fan will be eager to attend.
Kickback
Motorbike insurance specialist Carole Nash looked into a number of exciting small events that are taking place in 2021, which could be a good way to get used to attending events again before attending something larger. One of the main events that people will be looking forward to is Kickback, which was sorely missed last year as a popular biking event since 2010. Kickback will be taking place in Cheltenham Town Hall on Sunday May 23rd, which will make it one of the first events to take place.
The Distinguished Gentleman’s Ride
The DGR is celebrating its 10th anniversary this year and a day that can be great fun but also important for raising funds for men’s health issues. This is an event celebrated around the world with simultaneous rides (usually on retro bikes), but it will be slightly different to normal due to COVID restrictions. It is taking place on Sunday May 23rd and will be a good excuse to get out, meet some like-minded people and enjoy the open road – just be sure to check that you have motorcycle insurance in place before setting off.
Manchester Bike Show
The Manchester Bike Show is another popular event that was missed last year but will return at a slightly later than usual slot on the 11th and 12th of September (with plans to prevent back to April for 2022). This is widely regarded as the premier motorcycle show in the north of England and will have over 500 bikes on display.
Motorcycle Live
Motorcycle Live is one of the most anticipated events of the year and one that every enthusiast should clear their diary for. The organizers have announced that the show will be taking place between the 4th and 12th of December and it should be worth the wait. Managing Director Finlay McAllan commented:
“We’re excited to welcome visitors back to the NEC, for what is already shaping up to be a fantastic show. To be able to offer something to look forward to will see us end the year on a high – where once again two-wheel fans can be together to soak up the first major show in the UK for two years. The 2021 event promises a real treat – something everyone deserves.”
As you can see, there is plenty to look forward to as restrictions begin to ease and any motorcycle enthusiast will get a real kick out of being able to attend events again after the cancellations of 2020.
