This boutique property is located in Trastevere, my favorite part of town. The four-star Loly Boutique Hotel Roma is super quiet and the lobby is exquisitely decorated. The sizable rooms have a lot of natural light, beautiful modern décor, and comfortable beds. All rooms also have comfy amenities like slippers, plush bathrobes, luxury toiletries, hypoallergenic bedding, a desk, and a smart TV. Bathrooms are quite large and even have bidets. Most rooms have a private balcony or patio too. Breakfast is included and includes freshly baked pastries, eggs, bacon, and pancakes. The owners and staff are really friendly and helpful too.

This hotel is located in Monti, the very oldest part of Rome. Colosseo Prestige Rooms has friendly owners and a gelato bar at the back of the building. This property is clean and new, which makes up for the fairly small (but nicely decorated) rooms. All rooms are air-conditioned, with a desk, fast and free Wi-Fi, coffee machine, fridge, minibar (in which everything is complimentary), and flat-screen TV. The bathrooms are good-sized and feature bidets too. While there’s no breakfast available at the property, there are tons of great food options nearby.

Right on the Piazza del Pigneto, the namesake of the neighborhood, this hotel used to be a pharmaceutical factory. The hotel has huge rooms decorated with minimalist but stylish décor. All rooms feature a desk, a large bathroom with a spa tub, lots of natural light, good art, and comfy beds. In the mornings, there’s a delicious breakfast buffet featuring eggs, fresh fruit, cold cuts, and pastries. There’s a decent gym on the premises and guests get a free welcome drink arrival too. It’s one of the better value hotels in the area.

Despite its name, this is a midrange hotel. It’s located in Prati, a quieter, less touristy area close to St Peter’s Square and the Vatican. There’s real Italian flare to the décor, and the hotel boasts a cozy lounge and library as well. The staff here are super helpful, and the rooms are quite large and airy, with beautiful parquet floors and a simple design. All rooms have lovely bathrooms with bidets and fluffy bathrobes, comfortable beds, and smart TVs. While there’s no breakfast, there is complimentary coffee available in the lobby at all times.

Situated just around the corner from the famous Spanish Steps, Crossing Condotti is a small and elegant boutique hotel with an entrance off a quiet street. It has beautiful antique décor and parquet floors, and if you’re traveling with kids, you can stay in the adjacent building, which has convenient suites comprised of two connecting double bedrooms. The rooms are full of natural light, modern design, and beautiful plants that make the space a lot more homey. The beds are comfy and I love the showers here. It’s a really nice place to stay.

If you want to stay somewhere budget-friendly with a fun vibe, then San Lorenzo (which is walking distance east of the city center) is the neighborhood for you. Located in the liveliest section of the neighborhood, this hotel offers spacious rooms (ranging from singles to quadruples) with a simple but elegant look. The rooms have large bathrooms, comfy beds, desks, and flatscreen TVs. The dining area also has an interesting design, with large brick arches dividing it into somewhat separate sections for privacy while you eat. There’s nothing super fancy about this hotel but it does provide excellent value.

This stylish hotel includes a complimentary and wholesome buffet breakfast and a rooftop bar with gorgeous views of the city. The rooms are spacious, sleek, and well lit, with a lot of wood, natural light, and a voguish modern design. The beds are really plush and the showers have great water pressure. This one of the nicer hotels in the area and it’s super near a lot of big attractions.

Offering incredible value, this four-star hotel is located on the Termini Station side of the San Lorenzo neighborhood. It has an art nouveau look, with wood flooring and period furniture, and many of the rooms have really unique furnishings. The rooms and bathrooms are large and have beautiful wallpaper, art, desks, and a good amount of natural light. The beds are comfy, the shower pressure great, and the staff friendly. I love staying here!
